Grilling Recipes Round One - San Juan Flank Steak
We at Rock N Roll Stoneworks of course love enjoying our respective patios and to fully do that, we love sharing food and recipes with friends and family.
Unlike other recipes on blogs, we won’t go into paragraph after paragraphs of how this recipe came about and yada yada yada. We’ll get right into it...
This is simply one of the easiest, cheapest, and most flavorful steak recipes we’ve ever come across. We found it in Colorado Collage. Serve with roasted potatoes, a side salad, or a seasonal veggie of your choice.
While it’s grilling season, we’ll be sharing a recipe once a week so check back for more delicious recipes!
Ingredients (serves four):
1 1.5 lb flank steak
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1.5 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Tabasco
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp chili powder
3 cloves minced garlic
Preparation:
Using a zip lock bag or shallow glass dish about 12 in long, place the flank steak inside about 8-24 hours before desired grilling time
Add all other ingredients to a small mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly.
Pour the mixture into the zip lock or glass dish, refrigerate.
About halfway through marinating time, flip steak over ensuring both sides are covered.
Grill to desired temperature, let rest for 5 minutes, and slice against the grain of the meat making the meat even more tender.
