Every now and then a project pulls together everything we love about building outdoors in Colorado: water, fire, stone, and planting, all engineered as one system on a site with real views. The Zamucen Residence is one of those. Rather than write the whole story for you, we filmed it, and we asked the homeowner, Nick Zamucen, to tell it himself.
One backyard, designed as a single composition
The brief was a true outdoor living space, not a pool dropped next to a patio. As a single-contract design-build team, we engineered the pool and spa, the fire feature, the natural-stone hardscape, and the planting plan together, so grades, drainage, structure, and sight lines all resolve as one program.

Water that performs in Colorado
The custom pool anchors the yard, with laminar deck jets, a tanning ledge, and a raised spa that spills back into the main body of water. Decking and coping are detailed for freeze-thaw, drainage, and the intense Front Range sun, the same discipline we bring to every pool and spa build.
Fire, stone, and arrival
A fire feature extends the season into cool Colorado evenings, while stone veneer columns and natural flagstone tie the backyard to the architecture of the home. The same material language carries to the front, so the property reads as one designed estate from the driveway in.

Water-wise planting around a luxury yard
Around the hardscape, a water-wise palette of lavender, ornamental grasses, and river-rock beds softens the stone and keeps maintenance and irrigation sensible, exactly the balance we aim for on outdoor living projects across the Front Range.
